Our kitchen brigade Conspires daily to bring you gourmet lunches and take home meals at our Lunch Counter. We¬†barbeque all our sandwich meat in a traditional wood fired smoker that we call “Tickle”, using maple, hickory and cherry wood.

Soups, Salads, Sandwiches and Wraps Made Fresh

Our lunch counter offers fantastic soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, premium burgers and daily specials.¬† Hearty soups are made from scratch and served steaming hot every day. Salads are also made fresh each day and if you’re in a hurry, we can pack almost anything for you to go. ¬†Artisan breads and grilled tortilla wraps stuffed with our own seasoned low and slow barbeque fare are the main stay on our menu. The vegetarian options include our popular Veggie Wrap, which changes to reflect seasonal produce and is topped with our house Chiplote mayo.

Desserts and Sweets

Daily scones, muffins, and our house baked cookies are baked fresh daily. We also offer large and small cakes as well as assorted tarts, to go or dine in.

Harvey & Vern’s Old Fashioned Soda on Tap

Harvey & Vern‚Äôs Old Fashioned Soda: Ginger beer, cream soda, and root beer on tap and by the bottle. ¬† ¬†These sodas are just fantastic!¬† Try one and you may end up buying more for home…which you can do at our shop as they are available by the case.

A special item on our shelves right now is our new house barbecue sauce, Tennessee #0 7- Small Batch BBQ.  An homage to the sour mash barbecue traditions of the Blue Mountains, this sauce is molasses based with a heaping helping of our not-so-secret ingredient, Tennesse Whiskey.

Chef Benoit’s custom rubs are designed to perfectly compliment meats & vegetables for BIG barbecue flavour.¬†¬†(Hey, we barbecue for a living.) ¬†If you love our Pulled Pork, pick up our Carolina Red Sauce. ¬†Tangy, with a hint of good southern heat; it’s the combination of our in-house Magic Dust rub and Carolina Red that gives our pulled pork it’s punch.

If you like your sauce sweet, rich and smokey then our Kansas City Chipotle is for you.  Far from shy, this is a molasses based sweet sauce with the resonance of  smoked chipotle for a lingering burn that underscores but never overpowers.

Also from the Culinary Conspiracy kitchen, try the Late Summer Chow Chow, a tangy curried relish made with bean, peppers & onions, or the rich and creamy Dulce de Leche for your sweet tooth.

Mushroom Truffle Pat√©This year we’ve added a few of our favorite gourmet items from shops we trust.

On the savory side, try the Favuzzi Mushroom Truffle Spread. ¬†This well-balanced mushroom and truffle p√Ęt√© is an excellent complement to your pizza, pasta, crostini or add to your favorite cream sauce and make it instantly amazing. (If you can make it through your meal without eating the whole jar, you are a better person that we are!)

Basil Olive Oil sweet fresh basil crushed together with California Mission olives.  Mouthwatering over angel hair pasta or crostini with heirloom tomatoes and mozzarella.  Mt Athos Olives stuffed with Feta  Mt. Athos green olives, buttery and crisp, are stuffed with classic Greek feta cheese or Jalapeno peppers grown in Greece for the perfect balance of heat with a smooth, buttery, intense flavor.

Porcini Mushroom Risotto (dry mix). ¬†Simply add one litre of vegetable stock and allow to simmer. In fifteen minutes, your kitchen will be filled with the bold, mouth-watering aromas or an authentic, creamy Italian risotto. Guaranteed success for all risotto lovers, whether novice or experienced. ¬†(Kitchen tip: Don’t stop stirring!!)

From Stonewall Kitchen,¬†Country Ketchup!¬† Zesty and full flavored, it’s ketchup with a grown up taste but kids will love it too! Go ahead, put it on everything. ¬†Mango Chutney: mango and complementary spices to create an original, versatile chutney. Try it as a topping or add it to grilled fish or meat for a distinctive tropical taste experience. ¬†Spicy Corn Relish, a Southwestern inspired relish will add a nice kick to your forays into Mexican and TexMex cuisine.

Blue Cheese Herb Mustard Tasteful; an explosion of tantalizing flavors is just waiting to be spread on a sandwich or to zip up your grilled meats and chicken.  Bourbon Molasses Mustard, smooth, mellow bourbon adds a depth of flavor that is only increased by the sweetness of the molasses.

Sweet tooth?   Try the Blood Orange Marmalade, a delightful variation to a classic, this version is bursting with flavor.
